Our Projects

CENUK has already completely renovated one of the school classrooms, commissioned local craftsmen to build more school benches and desks, and built three sub-stations which provides enough electricity for most of the village.

Our five-year plan includes the following, further projects:

  • Refurbishment of the Secondary and Primary schools of Ashrang including the building of a 3rd storey and complete renovation of the ground floor classrooms
  • Supply of electricity
  • Build a complete new toilet block
  • Employ a total of 10 new teachers
  • To ensure all children have the opportunity to attend school by funding all costs
  • Explore the possibility of providing running water
  • The manufacture of classroom equipment
  • To build and equip a library and computer room
  • To continue to provide educational sponsorship of the children of CEN
  • To investigate the possibility of providing sponsorship to older school children including UK education
  • To supply school equipment and stationery
  • To attempt a successful visit by the children of CEN to Austria in 2009

On going work

The renovation of the secondary school is going extremely well, the new classroom wing is to be completed this year. A library and computer room are planned for early in 2010 along with completely new toilet facilities. Work will commence during 2010 on most of the other primary schools. During high winds in May 2009, the school roof of one school was completely destroyed, this is our priority for the next 2 months.
